APPLE DAY

WOLDS END ORCHARD

Chipping Campden

Saturday 15 October 11am - 4pm

Come to the Orchard and meet some of the “Orchardeers” caring for this 3 acre Traditional Orchard in Chipping Campden and our special guest, Steve Oram from the People's Trust for Endangered Species, who has been very generous with his time and expertise over the years.

Since autumn 2020 The Campden Society and The Friends of Wolds End Orchard have been working together to conserve this beautiful corner of glorious Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire.

We have 97 trees with eating, cider and cooking apple varieties, Perry and culinary pears, plus a few plums and a young quince. Our “Shadow Orchard” also includes berries and damsons.

You will have a chance to wander around the veteran, mature and young trees, and learn about what we have done this year - as well as our plans for the future.

We shall have our Longest Peel Competition again, plus new for this year a local Morris group will perform their short Apple Day Play.

We will also have a juicing demonstration and hopefully we will have some of our own apple juice for sale on the day!

Please emailcampdensociety20@gmail.com or foweo2020@gmail.com for more information.

Location: entrance corner of Aston Road and Back Ends, Chipping Campden, Glos GL55 6AB

No parking on site - free parking at weekends available at the High School (a few minutes walk away, off Cider Mill Lane) or on Back Ends or the High Street.
